1. The Grand Title winner is Mexican photographer Sergio Tapiro Velasco for his image of a volcano eruption in Mexico.
2. The winner in the 15-17 years old category is Liina Heikkinen from Finland for her image of a clash between two male red deer in Richmond Park, London.
3. The winner in the Underwater category is Richard Shucksmith from the UK for his image of a spiny sea dragon in Australia.
4. The winner in the Birds category is Gergana Stefanova from Bulgaria for her image of a great grey owl in mid-flight in Belgium.
5. The winner in the Urban category is Laurent Ballesta from France for his image of a Mediterranean toothcarp in the South of France.
6. The winner in the Land Mammals category is Nicholas Dyer from the UK for his image of a pack of wild dogs in Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe.
7. The winner in the Behavior category is Javier Aznar González de Rueda from Spain for his image of a praying mantis catching a hummingbird in Ecuador.
8. The winner in the Plants and Fungi category is Antonio Pedrosa from Portugal for his image of a mushroom colony in Portugal.
9. The winner in the Black and White category is Diana Rebman from the USA for her image of a polar bear and her cubs on an iceberg in Canada.
10. The winner in the Animals in their Environment category is Bence Máté from Hungary for his image of a flock of sandgrouse flying towards a waterhole in the Namib Desert, Namibia.
11. The winner in the Earth’s Environment category is Brent Stirton from South Africa for his image of a critically endangered black rhino being dehorned in South Africa as a measure to protect it from poaching.
12. The winner in the Wildlife Photojournalism category is Adrian Hirschi from Switzerland for his image series on the impact of gold mining on the Amazon rainforest.
13. The winner in the Rising Star Portfolio category is Shane Kalyn from Canada for his image series on the wolves of British Columbia.
14. The winner in the Portfolio Award category is Brent Stirton from South Africa for his image series on the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos.
15. The winner in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Portfolio Award category is Jasper Doest from the Netherlands for his image series on the rescue and rehabilitation of a captive-born flamingo in the Dutch Caribbean.
