The Grand Egyptian Museum is set to finally open all of its doors on July 3, 2025.
The museum, located in Giza, near the pyramids, was initially scheduled to open in 2012, but has faced several delays due to political unrest and funding issues. Once open, it will be the largest archaeological museum in the world, showcasing more than 100,000 artifacts, with 5,000 items from the tomb of King Tutankhamun.
The new museum is expected to boost tourism and provide a state-of-the-art facility for the preservation and exhibition of Egypt’s ancient treasures.
